Napoleon III and Mexico
Presenting an alternate version of events where Napoleon III invades Mexico while the United States is embroiled in Civil War. Survive the siege of Paraguay
After Francisco Solano Lopez’s failed invasions of Brazil and Argentina, the armies of the Triple Alliance have cornered the remnants of Paraguay’s army across the Parana. Standing in their way of taking Asuncion are the formidable fortifications of Humaita, the strongest citadel in South America. The governments of Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay have signed the Treaty of the Triple Alliance, committing themselves to continue fighting until the overthrow of Paraguay’s government. But Lopez and his nation are ready to fight to the end to defend their sovereignty.
